IRB members receive training throughout the year at a number of IRB training sessions and at the board meetings held each month. These training sessions include specific topics relevant to the University of Utah Human Research Protection Program and broader topics that are of interest to our members and the research community.

Absentee Certification of Training Completion Instructions

After viewing all of the videos in their entirety, you must certify that you have completed the make-up session.  After you watch each of the videos, you are encouraged to submit any questions you may have to the IRB staff, and then certify via email that you have completed the requirement.

To certify that you have reviewed the video in its entirety, please send an email to irb@hsc.utah.edu and include the following statement:

This email certifies that I have reviewed all of the <<insert year, e.g. 2017>> IRB Annual Training videos in their entirety.  I have been offered the opportunity to ask questions.

Add your official signature block to the end of the email.  We will use the email as documentation that you have completed this requirement.
