About UCRE

November 9th and 10th, communities and institutions across the state of Utah are collaborating to host the first annual conference focused on the conduct of ethical and community-driven research within our state. If you are a community partner who works with researchers, a research participant, or just generally interested in ethical and community-driven research practices, we hope to see you in attendance!

Fees

Attendance is $50.00 per day. Payment is accepted at the time of registration.

Scholarships are available and will be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact the IRB at irb@hsc.utah.edu for inquiries.

Registration is confirmed when payment is received.

What is Included in the Cost of Registration?

Registration for the UCRE Conference includes entry to all sessions, session materials, and parking for the day of the event.  Breakfast and lunch will also be provided.

Location & Venues

The conference will be held at the Leonardo, located at 209 E 500 S, SLC, UT 84111 and the Salt Lake City Public Library, located at 210 E 400 S, SLC, UT 84111. 

Parking

Public parking options are to be used for attendance at the conference.

  • The Salt Lake Library has an underground parking lot that can be used for a fee.
  • On-street, metered parking may be available. 
  • The TRAX line stops at the Library and can be utilized. The Library stop is within the SLC Downtown Free Zone.

Policies

  • Payment in full is required prior to the start of the training.
  • Once you register, you are responsible for all fees (regardless of whether you attend) unless you cancel according to the following policy:

    • Cancellations can only be made by contacting us at irb@hsc.utah.edu by 5:00 PM MT Friday, November 4, 2022. Once your cancellation is complete, we will send you a confirmation email; please keep this email for your records.
    • Refunds will be issued for all cancellations received by 5:00 PM MT Friday, November 4, 2022.
    • No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after 5:00 PM MT Friday, November 4, 2022. Registrants who do not attend the conference and who do not contact us via email by 5:00 PM MT Friday, November 4, 2022, to cancel their participation are responsible in full for their fees.
  • Registration substitutions can be made at no cost by contacting us at irb@hsc.utah.edu by by 5:00 PM MT Friday, November 4, 2022. Once your registration substitution is complete, we will send you a confirmation email; please keep this email for your records.
