University of Utah HRPP Receives Reaccreditation from AAHRPP
July 28th, 2015
We are pleased to announce that the University of Utah Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) was awarded full reaccreditation by AAHRPP on June 16, 2015. The Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs, Inc. (AAHRPP) promotes high-quality research through an accreditation process that helps organizations worldwide strengthen their human research protection programs (HRPPs). The accreditation process involves evaluation of all aspects of the HRPP, including the IRB, Conflict of Interest, Office of Sponsored Projects, Research Education, research teams, and many other research administration and review bodies on our campus.
The University of Utah HRPP has been accredited since 2007 and we are happy to maintain this accreditation today. We are especially grateful to the faculty and staff at the University of Utah, as well as our affiliates at Veterans Affairs Salt Lake City Health Care System and Intermountain Healthcare, who were involved in providing support and participating in the AAHRPP site visit in March 2015.
Thank you for your dedication to protecting the rights and welfare of research participants.
